Great Dim Sum place in the area. All dumplings were great. Soup dumpling was exceptional. All the other food was just ok. There were some dishes that I could not finish because I didn’t like the taste. Egg tart was mediocre. Open to revisit but I would only get dumplings.

Food is good. However. The waitress suggested me the eggplant dish was 15$ More than the original one I wanted to try. Kinda very scamming. And also she suggested us another dish said “ Market price” which I thought was 15$ for veggies soup. But in the end was charged for 25$ for a veggie soup. It tasted good but the service is kinda sucked…. We didn’t appreciate the scamming behavior…

Hong Kong Pearl Seafood Restaurant is one of my go-to spots for dim sum in the DMV area. The variety is impressive—from classic shrimp dumplings to lotus leaf-wrapped sticky rice. The quality is consistent, and dishes come out hot and flavorful. They have a large seating area, suitable for group gatherings. The ambiance is lively and bustling, especially on weekends. While that adds to the authentic dim sum experience, it can get noisy. Service is efficient, though it can feel a bit rushed during peak hours.

First time here this past Saturday evening and it was great! We got a table for 8 right away—the restaurant is fairly huge and spacious. Staff are very friendly and attentive here. Food was delicious—top favorites were: Salt & Pepper Whole Shrimp, Deep-Fried Bean Curd with Salt & Pepper, Seafood Pan Fried Noodles and Stir Fried Snow Peas Leaves with Garlic. My family enjoyed the Seafood Chow Fun and Diced Beef Pan Fried French Style—however I was not a fan of seasoning taste of the diced beef, more on the sweet side. Food came out fairly quick and relatively all at the same time which was great. Would definitely come back here!

We stopped by for lunch before leaving DC. The restaurant was very busy and crowded, with a wait time of about 20 minutes for a party of two. The dim sum was generally of great quality, and I highly recommend trying the first three dishes shown in the pictures. However, the roasted duck was extremely disappointing—it was served cold, and nearly half the plate consisted of neck pieces. Don’t waste your money on this dish.

The dim sum on weekends is bustling and fantastic! Everything we tried from the huge selection here was delicious and affordable. Great service and beautiful dining facility as well, loved the busy atmosphere with all the carts flying around and plates of food appearing like magic all around! Great experience here!
